Medical Disclaimers & Important Information

This website is for informational purposes only. The content presented here does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All information is intended for general educational purposes and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Physician-patient relationship. No physician-patient relationship is established through this website or any content contained within it. A formal relationship is established only upon completion of a clinical intake evaluation with a Luminous Health physician.

Individual results vary. All treatments and interventions described on this website are individualized based on each patient's clinical history, laboratory findings, and physician assessment. Outcomes described or implied are not guaranteed and will differ from patient to patient.

Ketamine. Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic medication used at Luminous Health in an off-label capacity for the treatment of mood disorders and in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Its use in these contexts is supported by a growing body of clinical evidence but is not FDA-approved for these specific indications. Ketamine is administered only under direct physician supervision following a thorough medical and psychiatric evaluation.

Research peptides. Several compounds referenced in our programs — including Selank, Semax, BPC-157, KPV, and Thymosin alpha-1 — are research peptides not approved by the FDA for clinical use. They are available through licensed compounding pharmacies and are used off-label. Their use requires explicit informed consent and a discussion of the current evidence base, known risks, and absence of long-term human safety data. We do not prescribe or recommend research peptides without a signed consent on file.

Compounded medications. Some medications used in this program are prepared by compounding pharmacies and are not commercially manufactured FDA-approved products. Compounded medications are prepared based on individual physician prescriptions and are not subject to the same FDA approval process as commercially available drugs.

This clinic does not provide psychotherapy. Luminous Health provides medical evaluation and treatment. Psychotherapy, counseling, and peer support services are not delivered by Luminous Health physicians or staff. However, we work closely with a network of trusted therapist collaborators who share our clinical philosophy — and where appropriate, we will coordinate a referral or work in direct partnership with a therapist from our network as part of your care. For programs involving ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, a trained therapist is required and will be coordinated as part of your treatment plan.

Scope of practice. Luminous Health operates within the scope of functional and integrative medicine. We do not replace your primary care physician, psychiatrist, or specialist. We encourage all patients to maintain relationships with their existing healthcare providers and to disclose all treatments received at Luminous Health to their broader care team.

Palliative and end-of-life program. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for end-of-life care is offered as a supportive adjunct to palliative care. It is not a curative treatment and is not intended to alter the course of any underlying illness. This program is designed to support psychological and existential wellbeing and is conducted under physician supervision in close coordination with the patient's palliative care or oncology team where applicable.

If you are in crisis. Luminous Health is not an emergency medical facility. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of suicide, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Do not delay seeking emergency care while attempting to contact our clinic.
